CUSTOM-MADE FIREPLACE + SURROUND
• I had a local builder created the frame.
• A sheet-metal worker supplied raw steel sheets + folded edges to create a softer finish.
• I couldn't find rivets of the right scale - so an upholsterer supplied and altered furniture nails to suit
• Shutters in the wall were made to direct heat down the hallway.

OTTOMAN
• Custom-made by Waikato
craftsman to match the style of the sofa and chairs.

We had admired our home from afar for quite some time before we purchased it. Set in a lovely location amidst mature gardens, the home was designed by well known Hamilton architect Kevin Finsen as his private home. The design was timeless, but it lacked the space required. We moved out for nine months while the home was completely gutted, added to and reshaped. This gave me invaluable experience for what my clients go through when they undertake their renovations. I loved every minute of our renovation and we now have a house which has been designed entirely for our needs and is truly “our home”.
